Modern society tries to squish us into boxes of normalcy. It tells us there are normal ways to love, express gender, have sex, connect to the divine, build a family, and even make a living. But what society considers normal isn’t necessarily good for us, it’s just whatever maintains the status quo.
To be Queer means existing outside one of these boxes of normalcy. Even though humans are supposed to be different, society treats Queerness as a problem. As a result, we’re disconnected from our Queer medicine - the unique gifts we can offer this world only by being our most authentic selves.
